Loved this post. Apart from the practical aspects, there's such a satisfaction in solving something that's hard, so why should it be viewed as a bad thing?

I agree wholeheartedly. I wish people realized that programming and long term software development is difficult. I have noticed people quit just as things start getting difficult (at work), leading to half baked projects and shitty infrastructure, that can only be fixed by doing the right / hard thing. :/
