Your genuine expertise of the subject matter (which I can attest to, as I studied law for a year and a half) makes for an all-around excellent article; thanks in particular for the advice in the last §.
Umm isn't this one of those “loaded questions” that lawyers aren't supposed to ask? 😂
I took on law when I thought I had reached the glass ceiling in IT, and, well, it turned out I hadn't. I also didn't pursue a masters thesis on my spare time etc, I think that's because when I saw the subject matter up close and personal, I figured that unlike computers, the elegance of it was only robe-deep... Especially so in France, but in general it's called a court for a reason.
In the end, I figured that the career thing would take care of itself if I lived in a free country, and that I'd rather spend my time learning quantum physics, which I am currently doing from Prof. Susskind's series of lectures at Stanford (made available online free of charge thanks to the work of the IT guys, arguably much more so than the lawyer folks)

Thanks for your kind words. Much appreciated!
I didn't know you studied law?! Why did you give up on it?
